Which Boiler is Right For me?

There are 3 main forms of central heating systems: combi, system or open vented and you will find a lot of manufacturers of these. Our intention is to deliver the right boiler for your price range without compromising on quality. We supply a cost-free survey in which we’ll calculate the KW rating necessary, and best kind of system for your property

Our objective is to locate the ideal boiler for your needs, not the quickest system to fit.

System Boilers

A system boiler heats your heating system directly and provides hot water to your cylinder.

A system boiler, similar to a regular (conventional) boiler works on the concept of stored hot water. However, a system boiler is different from a regular boiler in a few crucial respects.

To start with, a number of the key individual components of the heating and hot water system are constructed into a system boiler, which means installation is faster, tidier, less complicated and a lot more efficient.

Secondly, the hot water is pumped from the system boiler throughout the heating system to the radiators and hot water cylinder, providing a fast response and more cost-effective running costs. The system boiler removes the requirement of a feed and expansion cistern.

Combi Boilers

Combi boilers are the UK’s most favored sort of boiler for gas central heating and domestic warm water. They’re very easy to install, user-friendly and cost effective to run.

A combi boiler only heats water when a hot tap or shower is fired up, guaranteeing optimum efficiency. There’s no need to find space for a water storage cylinder or have a tank inside the loft area. Hot water is shipped to your taps at mains pressure, so you can enjoy a powerful shower without the need for a pump

Heat Only Boilers

Heat only boilers are also known as ‘regular’ or ‘conventional’ boilers. If you’re replacing an old boiler and have a small expansion tank and a larger cold water storage cistern in your loft area space, you almost certainly have already got a heat only boiler.

Heat only boilers are likely to be installed on an open vented system. The system will in most cases comprise two tanks in the loft space, a hot water storage cylinder in the airing cupboard and a separate pump.
